Sustainable Materials

The Peninsula counter is Richlite made from paper and resin. The sink and stove counters are made of fully recyclable plate steel. The cabinets are regionally harvested rift cut white oak. The support beam in the upper left is Parallam made from small fast growing trees and combined into large structural members. The floor is stained concrete with radiant heat.

General plan

This space was created on the foundation of the original garage and breezeway. The open plan kitchen includes an eating counter, pantry, coat closet, computer area, and access to the adjacent  stone terrace and yard. Many sustainable materials were incorporated into the project.
